La Liga is set to return early June.....
Spanish top flight Football league was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic in March before matchday 28 to be played on 15th of March 2020 but unfortunately pandemic made things worst for the League to be continued. Authorities decided to postpone the remaining matches until the situation gets normal but the worst was still to happen. Spain got seriously affected by the pandemic and everyday hundreds of people started to die and thousands were daily reported to be infected. As someone said time will pass whether it is hard or it is peaceful. So gradually the infection started to lessen and things started to get normal. Spanish government eased the lockdown a bit to again start the normal life.
On Saturday Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in a press conference said that we have decided to continue La Liga after 8th of June. As of that time the third session of lock down will be eased in many regions of Spain. Spanish Government gave the green light for La Liga to continue behind closed doors.

In a conversation with media the President of La liga ' Javier Tebas'
also told about the return of Liga as the Pandemic was overtaken by Spanish health care professionals. He said La liga is supposed to return on 11th of June with a thriller Derby between Savilla Fc and Real Betis Fc. He further said that the playing hours will be managed according to the weather of the areas.

The first match of matchday 28 is supposed to be played between Sevilla and Betis on June 11th. They are arch rivals of each other ever since they were founded. Sevilla leads the winning ratio by 45% to 31% over Real Betis.
Before lockdown there was a very tight situation in the La Liga standings.
At that time Sevilla Fc was on 3rd spot just after League leaders Fc Barcelona and Real Madrid with 47 points after 27 matches while Real Betis was on 12th spot with 33 points in 27 matches. While Barcelona was on 1st spot with 58 points and Real Madrid was on 2nd just two points behind the leaders. Now 11 matchdays are left to decide the winners surely between Barcelona and Real Madrid. As La liga is returning Real Madrid will be playing against Eibar Fc at Home while Barcelona will be playing against RCD Mallorca away.
Due to Covid-19 some rules of the game have been changed as directed by the FIFA. Every team will be allowed to substitute 5 players per match. And UEFA also directed the Leagues to finish their business off before 29th of July so that the UEFA tournaments can be carried out to their end as they were also postponed due to the Pandemic.
